We are looking for a multi-talented, energetic, Field Application / Technical Support Engineer to join our fast-growing team. Our global services team is serving customers in all continents and you will work with the colleagues in our offices worldwide.
Job description
- Provide timely and high quality technical support to our customers and partners via telephone calls, e-mail and/or remote session. Occasionally in person at customer sites
- Provide ecosystem partners with necessary design to production support when integrating Casambi technology in their products
- Visit onsite (as may be needed) and do remote installation, validation and mapping. You will do troubleshooting, configuration, and documentation of services performed
- Work with the team to ensure the incoming case queue is constantly maintained
- Provide training to customers and plan and schedule work with them
- Work problems through to resolution and provide detailed root cause analysis
- Drive escalation issues within the company to the prompt resolution of the same
- Research and respond to customer requests and provide detailed explanations to address questions and concerns
- Create knowledge items for recurring issues
What we value
- Studies or work experience in IT, electrical and/or electronics industries
- At least three years of work experience in technology and/or electrical design company
- Experience with lighting controls is a big plus
- Understanding of embedded firmware and communication protocols, such as UART, SPI and I2C. Actual software development skills are not needed, but beneficial
- Experience in technical support
- Previous knowledge of electronics or electrical installations
- Experience with a variety of industry hardware platforms and operating systems (iOS, Android. Any exposure to Linux and Json is also beneficial)
- The ability to assimilate complex problems, determine a root cause, develop a resolution strategy.
- Ability to handle multiple client support issues simultaneously and explain it to customers of varying technical skills
- You enjoy a fast-paced, energetic environment and are results-oriented with a strong work ethic and enthusiasm.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and demonstrate resourcefulness in obtaining necessary diagnostic information
- Team player with a customer-focused attitude
- Ideally, experience working with customers of different sizes (corporate, medium-sized business and consumers)
- Native German and full written and verbal proficiency in English
