Henne’s Paddington Boutique

Designed by acclaimed interior designer Brahman Perera, the store has since been awarded Best Commercial Interior at the 2024 Belle Fanuli Interior Design Awards – recognised as one of the most prestigious honours in Australian interiors.

The boutique reflects Henne’s philosophy of quiet luxury, blending sculptural forms with a warm, tactile material palette. The spatial design is fluid and immersive, elevating the shopping experience into something serene and sensorial. Key architectural gestures – curved surfaces, layered textures, and moments of softness – invite exploration and contemplation.

Lighting was central to achieving this vision. In collaboration with Ambience Lighting and Casambi, the space was brought to life with a dynamic and intuitive lighting scheme that highlights both merchandise and mood. From the warm coffer glow in the retail area to the tunable white mirror lighting in the fitting rooms, each element is controlled with precision and elegance.

Casambi’s wireless control platform powers key aspects of the store’s lighting functionality. Lithoss wall switches enable seamless control of fitting room scenes – offering four ambient modes to suit different styles and preferences. Customers can tailor their experience, whether they want soft daylight or a warmer, more flattering evening glow.

With architectural luminaires including the Andro, Kit Mini, and Symphony Lighting’s tunable white BOOST fixtures, the result is a boutique that doesn’t just showcase clothing – it enhances it.

Casambi’s local commissioning partner, Afterglow Controls, ensured the system delivered on every design intent, marrying aesthetics and ease of use with future-ready technology.
