Specializing in grilled dishes and hotpots, the restaurant offers a buffet-style experience, allowing guests to enjoy a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables, all prepared with authentic Korean marinades and spices.

A Design Inspired by Moonlit Korean Villages

The architectural and interior design of KKUL BBQ is the work of QBI Corp, drawing inspiration from serene Korean village scenes bathed in moonlight. The space is envisioned as a warm and poetic environment, where families gather under a soft glow, surrounded by lush bamboo forests. This concept is reflected through the use of natural materials, soft lighting, and a carefully planned spatial arrangement, creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and evocative.

Lighting That Enhances Atmosphere and Functionality

To bring this vision to life, CARA Lighting Solutions implemented a sophisticated lighting design and control system. The lighting concept is built around the interplay of warm tones, reflections, and diffused glow, adding to the dreamy charm of the space.

A key feature of the lighting design is the use of full-spectrum luminaires with an enhanced violet spectrum. These fixtures accentuate the natural whiteness of the drifting smoke from the grills and highlight the translucency of the glassware, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Seamless Control with Casambi

A total of 26 CBU-TED-LR Casambi trailing edge dimmers were integrated to provide smooth and efficient lighting control. Casambi technology allows the restaurant’s operations team to easily adjust lighting scenes based on the time of day and special events. During dining hours, the lighting is dimmed to create a warm, inviting atmosphere, while during turnover periods, it brightens for efficient cleaning and preparation.

The user-friendly interface ensures that staff can modify lighting settings in real time without needing specialized technical knowledge. This flexibility allows for quick customization for special occasions, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.
