Casambi Awards Winner Announcement

Welcome to the announcement of the winning project in Casambi Awards 2019!

We got a big number of projects sent to us with very interesting lighting, lighting controls and architectural solutions. We have been very delighted to receive all of these projects and will be happy to promote all of them on our website in the upcoming months.

We would like to thank this year’s judges who helped us to choose the winning project, this was certainly not an easy task.

After the judges had evaluated the projects we got a shortlist of 3 projects that were the most interesting in terms of lighting concept, lighting design and technical solution of Casambi.

The judges have described the winning project in the following way:

The lighting design was inspired by nature, playing with layers of light. Casambi was instrumental in delivering a beautiful project.

It was also said that the judges would like to spend time in this space and that it looks very welcoming.

It is a very interesting project under different standpoints. First of all, it’s a retrofit on an existing lighting system that lacked any form of digitally controlled interface, and the use of Casambi enabled luminaires made it possible to provide the spaces with advanced, IOT functionalities that would have otherwise required much more disruptive renovation activities.

Secondly, the designers did a great job defining the different task areas of the workspace, and the tunable white, along with presence sensors, makes it possible to follow the circadian lighting maximizing the occupants well being while minimizing carbon footprint, significantly reducing waste.
