Junsei Izakaya & Listening Bar in Jakarta combines a traditional Japanese yakitori experience with a modern bar atmosphere, creating an intimate space where dining, design, and music come together. A carefully crafted lighting scheme with tunable white and warm dimming enhances textures and materials while maintaining a cozy, relaxed ambiance. Powered by Casambi wireless control, the lighting adapts seamlessly throughout the day, enabling dynamic scenes that support dining, social interaction, and the evolving rhythm of the space.
Junsei Izakaya & Listening Bar in Senopati, Jakarta, blends the warmth of a traditional Japanese yakitori experience with a modern, stylish bar atmosphere. As the second outpost following the London flagship, the restaurant offers an intimate setting where design, dining, and music come together seamlessly.
Lighting Design & Concept
The lighting strategy at Junsei was developed to complement the restaurant’s contemporary yet cozy aesthetic. Tunable white and warm dimming ranges from 3000K to 2200K create an inviting environment, highlighting textures, wooden surfaces, and dining areas without overpowering the subtle, relaxed ambiance.
Casambi Wireless Control
Casambi’s Bluetooth wireless system is at the heart of Junsei’s lighting, providing effortless scene management across the restaurant. Time-based scene automation ensures the lighting evolves naturally throughout the day, shifting from brighter, functional tones during lunch service to warmer, more intimate settings for evening dining and bar experiences.
With Casambi, staff can:
- Program time-based scenes to automatically adjust lighting according to the time of day
- Switch between curated moods for dining, music, and social interaction
- Control multiple zones individually or together to suit special events or private gatherings
