Pirate Life Perth is a vibrant multi-venue brewpub where each space offers a distinct atmosphere, from lively bars to intimate, moody corners. A layered lighting design by Stickman Tribe combines warm ambient tones, bold accents, and dynamic focal points to bring character and flexibility to every area. Powered by Casambi, the system allows easy scene adjustments and energy-efficient operation, ensuring the venue feels dynamic, adaptable, and alive throughout the day.
Pirate Life Perth is the city’s largest brewpub, a lively multi-venue destination where craft beer, cocktails, and dining come together across several unique spaces. From the bustling basement bars and bistro dining to the immersive brewery experience, every corner of the venue tells its own story and sets its own mood.
Lighting plays a huge role in bringing this story to life. Stickman Tribe designed a layered scheme that mixes warm, inviting ambient light with bold accents. opper accents, plush velvet seating, and dark timber furniture are illuminated softly to create a cozy, industrial feel, while neon signs and artistic installations add playful, energetic pops throughout the venue. The central brewing tanks are beautifully lit, becoming a focal point from multiple levels, and basement areas like the speakeasy-inspired Honey bar feel intimate and moody. Upstairs, the bright CRUSH area benefits from natural light streaming through 24 skylights, creating a completely different vibe during the day.
Casambi wireless control makes it easy to manage the whole space. Staff can adjust dimming, switch between pre-set scenes, or tweak schedules to suit the pace of the day. It gives full flexibility without needing technical expertise, which means the lighting can adapt to everything from lively afternoons to relaxed evenings.
The system also helps the venue stay sustainable. Automated dimming and timers reduce energy use and extend the life of the lights, making it both practical and responsible.
