Design Goal

A key objective for the new headquarters was to create a workspace that reflects Daikin’s signature visual identity. This meant achieving the precise shade of Daikin Azure Blue in feature areas and creating adaptable lighting scenes to support meetings, collaborative work, and day-to-day office activity.

The design required:

• Accurate colour tuning to maintain brand consistency
• Flexible lighting scenes for different workplace scenarios
• A system simple enough for staff to use without technical assistance
• Minimal disruption to the interior layout, with no extra wiring or control panels

Given these requirements, the lighting control needed to be powerful yet intuitive, precise yet uncomplicated.

Casambi Lighting Control

Casambi was chosen as the central lighting control system for all luminaires across the office. Its wireless, Bluetooth-based platform meets both aesthetic and operational needs, providing:

• Exact colour calibration to ensure every accent light consistently matches Daikin’s recognisable Azure Blue
• App-based control, allowing facility teams to adjust scenes, colour temperature, and intensity 
• Customised lighting scenes for meeting rooms, reception areas, workstations, collaboration zones, and breakout spaces
• Clean, unobtrusive integration with no panels or extra cabling needed
• Circadian rhythm–based scheduling, automatically adjusting lighting from bright, cool tones in the morning to warmer, softer tones in the evening to support natural energy cycles

With Casambi, lighting becomes responsive, consistent, and attuned to human wellbeing. Staff can activate scenes for presentations or team discussions with a single tap, while facility managers can fine-tune colour and intensity in real time. At the same time, automated circadian schedules help promote alertness, focus, and comfort, ensuring the office environment supports employee productivity and wellbeing throughout the day while maintaining energy efficiency.

Outcome

The result is a cohesive, modern workspace that feels unmistakably Daikin. Azure Blue feature lighting reinforces the brand identity, while adaptable scenes support employee comfort and a variety of work modes. The system is flexible, easy to manage, and enhances both the aesthetic and functional qualities of the office, creating a space that’s as welcoming as it is efficient.
