In the heart of Sydney’s business district, fitzpatrick + partners architects’ head studio has been created to break away from the traditional office of set siloed workspaces and an innovative, flexible, and collaborative spirit in its lighting approach and architectural layout.
The studio space is designed to be fluid with the team members’ requirements, as well as what each project requires. Lighting designers Steensen Varming were brought in to complement this agile aesthetic.
The Casambi automated control system has been programmed to follow natural circadian cycles with color temperatures that subtly change throughout the day with a noticeably warmer studio atmosphere come evening.
FX Track, Darklights, and Spotlights are used in combination to provide excellent task lighting above tables and workspaces in communal and collaborative areas, and each workstation can be individually controlled as desired.
