Liana is an intimate 32-seat restaurant located in The Corner House in Bangkok’s Old Town, offering a calm and refined dining experience shaped by chefs Warat Areerom and Soohyun Lee. The lighting design creates a warm, natural atmosphere where soft illumination, subtle shadows, and a balanced open kitchen make the space feel cohesive and inviting. With Casambi wireless control, the lighting shifts seamlessly throughout the evening, supporting the rhythm of service while preserving the character of the heritage building.

Hidden within The Corner House, a beautifully restored heritage building in Bangkok’s Old Town, Liana feels like a quiet pause from the city outside. With just 32 seats, the restaurant offers an intimate dining experience shaped by husband-and-wife chefs Warat Areerom and Soohyun Lee, whose time in Michelin-starred kitchens in London has influenced a menu that feels thoughtful, refined, and deeply personal.

That same sense of care carries through to the lighting.

From the moment guests arrive, the mood is set by warmth. Soft light settles across timber surfaces, gentle shadows add depth to the room, and every table feels quietly framed. Nothing feels overly lit or dramatic. Instead, the atmosphere feels calm and natural, inviting people to settle in and stay present.

At the centre of the restaurant, the open kitchen becomes part of the experience. Light is carefully balanced so the chefs have the clarity they need, while still feeling connected to the softer glow of the dining room. There is no hard separation between kitchen and guest space. Everything feels part of the same story.

Casambi wireless control makes this possible behind the scenes. As service moves through the evening, lighting scenes shift subtly to match the pace of the room. Early service feels brighter and more open, while later hours become softer and more intimate. These changes happen smoothly and quietly, without interrupting the experience.

This level of control allows each part of the restaurant to be tuned individually while maintaining a consistent overall atmosphere. Light levels can be refined to suit different moments, whether enhancing focus during a private consultation at the table or softening the mood as the final courses arrive.

The wireless system also preserves the integrity of the century-old building. Without the need for extensive rewiring or visible infrastructure, lighting control is integrated discreetly into the architecture, allowing the heritage character of the space to remain uninterrupted.

At Liana, light is not treated as decoration. It is part of the dining experience itself, shaping closeness, calm, and quiet presence. With Casambi working gently in the background, the atmosphere feels effortless, allowing each evening to unfold at its own pace.
