At Mewar Kothi Residence in Indore, smart-home technology is designed to make everyday living feel simpler. Casambi brings lighting, custom scenes, Human Centric Lighting and motorised curtains together, while automated gates and scheduled controls add convenience throughout the day.
There is a lot happening behind the scenes at Mewar Kothi Residence in Indore, India. The home has chandeliers, downlights, wall lights, feature lighting, façade lighting, motorised curtains, automated gates, and a whole range of other smart-home technology. But for the homeowners, none of it should feel complicated.
Casambi wireless control brings the different layers of lighting together. Unwired LED drivers connect the lighting throughout the residence, allowing each area to be controlled on its own or several spaces to change together with a single scene. This gives the homeowners plenty of flexibility without having to think about every individual light.
A quiet evening at home, for example, needs a very different atmosphere from having friends and family over. Custom scenes make it easy to move between the two. Dynamic lighting sequences can also change the light gradually, so the shift from one setting to another feels smooth rather than sudden.
Some things simply happen on their own. Human Centric Lighting and scheduled scenes allow the lighting to change at different times of the day without the homeowners having to constantly adjust it. The motorised curtains are connected through Goldmedal relays and shutter actuators, making it easier to balance daylight, privacy, and artificial light as the day goes on.
Even arriving home is part of the experience. A Merrytek relay is used for the motorised gate automation, making coming and going more convenient. It’s a small detail, but one that becomes part of the everyday ease of living in the house.
For a residence with so many different lights and spaces, going wireless also made a practical difference. Casambi reduced the need for additional control cabling, giving the project team more freedom while helping keep the interiors clean and uncluttered. Siqitech wireless keypads around the house give the homeowners familiar, easy access to the scenes and functions they use most.
Supreme Domotics also brought together the wider technology in the home, including AV, a dedicated home theatre, security and surveillance, networking, and communication systems. Casambi takes care of the lighting, while the other systems work alongside it as part of the overall smart-home setup.
What matters most is that the homeowners don’t have to think about everything happening in the background. The gate opens when access is needed, curtains can close as the evening comes in, and several rooms can change atmosphere at once. Much of the lighting simply follows the day on its own, leaving the homeowners to enjoy the spaces exactly as they were designed to be lived in.
