UP at Thamrin Nine offers a unique rooftop journey atop Autograph Tower in Jakarta, featuring two distinct viewing levels: the immersive indoor UPfinity at Level 85 and the open-air Skydeck at Level 100. Visitors experience the city from calm, glass-enclosed perspectives to expansive skyline views that evolve from day to night. A sophisticated lighting system by Casambi subtly enhances the atmosphere, ensuring seamless transitions while keeping Jakarta itself as the main attraction.
High above the city, UP at Thamrin Nine offers a new way to experience Jakarta from the top of Autograph Tower, the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere. Rather than a single viewpoint, the destination is designed as a journey, inviting visitors to explore the skyline from two distinct heights, each with its own atmosphere.
At Level 85, UPfinity, the experience is immersive and focused. Floor-to-ceiling glass surrounds visitors, gently directing attention outward and keeping the city as the main event. The environment feels intentional and calm, allowing guests to take in the scale and detail of Jakarta without distraction. Above this, the Skydeck at Level 100 opens up into a more exposed, open-air experience. From here, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the city as it shifts from daylight to sunset and into the glow of the night.
Lighting plays a quiet but essential role throughout the venue. Casambi provides a unified system that brings together immersive DMX lighting and architectural lighting using 24V and DALI, ensuring that every layer works together seamlessly. Lighting levels are carefully tuned to maintain visual comfort, reduce reflections on glass surfaces, and support the sound-and-light elements of the experience. Smooth transitions, controlled brightness, and pre-set scenes allow the venue to shift naturally from daytime viewing to sunset, nighttime cityscapes, peak hours, and quieter wind-down moments. Automated schedules mean these changes happen effortlessly, so staff can focus on the guests rather than constantly adjusting controls.
By combining technical precision with intuitive control, Casambi keeps lighting in the background while shaping the mood of the venue. The system ensures that each scene feels deliberate, seamless, and perfectly timed, allowing the city of Jakarta to remain the true focal point.
